flour and salt? If you have
not, just walk in to the
Guidance Library and Re

are inexpensive.
The study hall students are

the supervision of Mrs. (Roy

This voluntary work Jjas

them how to plan ahead with
projects, and has encouraged
sharing.
Due to these activities,
some students have changed
their attitudes and it has

Basketball
After a long month of
practice, varsity basketball
games have begun. The sea
sen opened on a victorious
note for the girls. Breaking
an 18-game losing streak, the
girls stomped Camden 53-30.
The boys’ team, however, lost
a heart-breaking 44-43 ovei
Camden boys.
Next Tuesday night the
basketball term will meet
Williamston here to open the
conference season.
Outstanding plays have
been made from both teams.
Individual effort has been
combined to inspire teamwork
among the players. This
season should be one of the
best ever in Edenton.

WHAT D’YE LACK?
By LESLIE ERICKSON, Kyland, N. C.
Now I read women’s columns
And 1 read the letters through,
And I have noticed many things
That folks would like to do.
One wants a crocheted basket,
And cne a knitted dress,
Another wants to dress a doll
To Icok like Good Queen Bess.
Now I’ve a stack of patterns,
All these and others, too,
That I’ve been saving up for years
To share with folks like you.
So what d’ye lack. Good Neighbors, what d’ye lack?
If it’s patterns you need, look into my stack.
All knitters, and tatters, and crocheters, too,
If you search for a pattern I’ll-(find it for you.
So what d’ye lack, Good People, whet d’ye lack?
For any old pattern look into my stack.
I’ll find you that pattern your grandmother had
Or draft you a new one in latest mod fad.
So what d’ye lack, Good Gentles, what d’ye lack?
