Hardison, 60, of Edenton died Monday In Cho wan Hospital after an illness of four months. He was a member of Eden ton Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon, and a lifelong resident of Chowan County. He was the son of the late Louis B. and Virginia Spruill Hardison. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth B. Hardison; one son, Julius Tedford Hardison; one daughter, Mrs. Alma Tay lor of Ellicott City, Md.; two brothers: Robert L. Hardison of Chapel Hill and Luther L. Hardison of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one half brother, Mar shall Hardison of Aulander; two half sisters: Mrs. Cole Phillips of Portsmouth, Va., and Mrs. Essie Hassell of Chesapeake, Va., and four grandchildren. A funeral service was held Wednesday at 3:30 P. M. at. Edenton Baptist Church by LEGION MEETING Edward G. Bond Post 40 of the American Legion will hold its September meeting Tuesday night. A dutch sup per will be served at 7 P. M. Interested persons should call 482-2222 for arrangements. Rev. Robert E. Gray and Rev. R. N. Carroll. Burial followed in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edgar Earl HolloweU, Thomas Paul Griffin, A. C. Griffin, George Jones, Jack Hardison and Billy Hardison. Arrangements were handled by Colonial Funeral Home. Hugh H. White Dies In Hospital Hugh Henley White, 73, - died at Chowan Hospital Sat urday after an illness of sev-1 era! weeks. He was a retired farmer and resided on Route 1, Edenton. Mr. White was a native ct Pasquotank County. Surviving are three broth ers: Dillard White of Hobbs ville; Clinton White of Nor folk. Va., and Willard White of Elizabeth City, and one sister, Mrs. Louis White of Tyner. Graveside services were held at 3 P. M. Monday at White Family Cemetery with Rev. George Brown in charge.
