> r Turner Is Given UrionCampGrant Harold Lee Turner, a June graduate of GatesviUe High School, has been named the 1972 Union Camp scholar ac cording to 'an announcement by resident manager, John D. Munford. Turner, who lives with his parents on Route 1, Gates viUe, will be the recipient of a $1,200 grant to be used to ward his education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. An additional grant wiU be made to the university in his name. Turner was valedictorian of his class and played varsity footbaU and basketball at Gates. He was a member of the Beta Club, French Club, •Pep Monogram Club, the Student Council and was on the school newspaper staff as well as vice president of the Future Teachers of Am erica. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Haywood A. Turner and he is a member of the Gates viUe Baptist Church, where he is active in the Youth Fel lowship and the Youth Choir.
