McDonald has received numerous awards in the mar keting field. Among them was a coveted “gold coin” award by the Bank Market ing Association in 1963. His achievements in mar keting date back to his es tablishment of a public rela tions office in Wilmington af ter being discharged from the Air Force in 1946. He later served on the nows staff of radio station WMFD and was news director of WECT-TV in Wilmington. He was recruited by former bank president Mitchell F. Allen, Jr., to establish a pub lic relations department for., the bank, wiiich at that time was known as First National Bank of Eastern North Caro lina. Later he served as the bank’s special events direc tor and ultimately was as signed to set up a marketing department in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the special events field. TRY A HERALD CLASSIFIED AD! Edenton Airman At Ft. Fisher KURE BEACH—Sgt. Percy L. A. Foxwell, Jr., son of Evelyn Bembry, 130 East Gale Street, Edenton, has arrived for duty at Ft. Fisher Air Force Station. Sgt. Foxwell, a security po liceman, is serving with the Aerospace Defense Com mand of the Air Force which is celebrating its 25th anni versary this month. He pre viously was assigned to U- Tapao Airfield, Thailand. The sergeant is a 1969 graduate of D. F. Walker High School. His father, Percy L. A. Foxwell, Sr., resides at 202 North Tarboro Street, Ra leigh. Breakfast Makes A Difference A good breakfast does make a difference! College of the Albemarle Satyrs’ forthcoming produce tion of ‘Theodosia” will be held at 7 o’clock today (Thurs day) in the COA gym-audi torium. The play, to be presented during the second week in November, is based on the life of Theodosia Burr, the mys terious, ill-fated daughter of Aaron Burr. According to Lucy Vaughan of the COA Speech and Drama Depart ment, the script for the pro duction was prepared by Sus an Graham Irvin Williamson of Charlotte, the daughter of a senator and the widow of two. senators. The writer, therefore, spent much of her life in Washington where she found an abundance of refer ence -material on the Burr family. The play begins when Dr. John Poole of Elizabeth City finds a beautiful painting in a fisherman’s shack at Nags Head.
