Officers are honored at services Sunday was an exciting day for Immanuel Baptist Church, Edenton. The parking lot was filled with patrol cars of the local Police Department as well as Sheriff Department and NC Highway Patrol cars. Inside was the annual Law Enforce ment Appreciation Sunday. Over 35 Law Officers from the immediate community were present for Sunday School and the Morning worship service. “It’s a true blessing of the Lord!”, replied Sgt. (ret) Joe Norman when asked how he felt to have sc many of the “Men in Blue” present. Sgt. Norman may be retired but his heart, is still in Law-enforce ment. “It just gets into your blood.” said Sgt.(ret) McCoy Parker . “You never really re tire from being a Lawman ”. We are so proud of our com munity and. the law officers that'make Edenton and Chowan County a safe place to live said one of the members of Immanuel Baptist Church.
