Miss Phillips And John D. Page, Jr. United In Marriage ANDREWS ? Mr and Mrs. G. G | Phillips of Andrews hi ve announc ed the marriage of theii daughter. Miss Frances Jane Phillips, to John D Page, Jr., son of John D. Page, Sr The ceremony wu performed In the presence of the immediate families Saturday. August 16, at | the home of Mr and Mrs Phillips | by Rev. C. C. W a sham, pastor of the Andrews Methodist Church, in a double ring ceremony. The house was decorated wit! pink gladiolus and fernery. Tal white tapers were lighter prior t the ceremony by Miss Julia Pagi sister of the bridegroom. The bride was attired in a suit o gray and white with black acces sories. Her corsage was of Ameri can Beauty roses. She came in 01 the arm of her father who gav< her away. Miss Lucy Page, siste of the groom was maid-of-honor. Wright William Ernest Wright, 38. of Young Harris, Ga.. died at a Mur phy hospital Thursday. August 21 at 2:30 p. m. following a long ill ness. Funeral services were conducted at old Brasstown Baptist church at 11 o'clock Saturday morning, with the Rev. Sim Martin of Young Har ris officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Ivie funeral home in charge. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Fannie Norris Wright of Young Harris; two sons. Arthur of Pound. Va.. and Howard of Young Harris, Route 1. and five daughters. Mrs. Katherine Jarrard, Mrs. Klsie Thomason, Misses Lillian, Wilma and Ruth Wright, all of Young Har ris. Route 1. Mr. Wright was born in Bun combe county but had lived a num ber of years at Young Harris. Grape Creek Mr. and Mrs. Joe Coleman of J Bicsstown spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Carter Worley. Funeral Is Held For Mrs. West Funeral services for Mrs. M#dia Ann West. 80. who died early Sat urday morning, Aug. 23. at her home at Warne, were conducted Sunday afternoon at Andrews. The Rev. Henry Brown of Young Har ris. Ga., and the Rev. Mr. Cable of Robbinsvillo officiated. Surviving are eight children: Walter and Otis West of Robbins \ille. the Rev. Weldon West of An drews, Kenneth West of Warne. Col. Wayne G. West of Okinawa. Mrs. Elbert Trantham of Andrews, Mrs. Wendell Lovingood of Marble, and Miss Edith West of Warne: 25 grandchildren. 14 great-grandchil dren. and two great-great-grand children. Pallbearers were grandsons. Clyde. Howard and Clarence West. Jack Shuler. Garland Elliott, and Rime/ Trantham. Mrs. West had been a member of the Baptist church for over 50 years.
