I If You Drive A CAR READ THIS AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC AND PARKING AND ESTABLISHING A TRAFFIC BUREAU FOR THE TOWN OF MURPHY, NORTH CAROLINA The Board Of Commissioners Of The Town Of Murphy Do Ordain: SECTION I. That from and aft*r the 27th day of October. 1952 the following parkin* regulations shall be In foil force and effects within the cooperate limits of the Town of Murphy: A. There shall be no parking of any vehidle in the streets except in the parking spaces marked off diagonally * with white painted lines along the curbing, and there shall be no center parking whatever on the four main streets of the town. B. That a limit of one hour is placed upon parking in the following streets; 8:00 A. M. to 6:00 P. M. daily ex cept Sunday: Peachtree Street from the Square to Central Street; Tennessee Street from Square to Depot Street; Valley River Avenue from Square to Methodist Church; Hiawasste Street from Square to Church Street. C. That four parking spaces directly in front of Citizens Bank & Trust Company on Peachtree Street shall be clearly markdd for limited parking of 15 minutes only, and that parking in the four spaces in front of the Post Office be limited to a like time. D. That the following acts are violations of this ordin ance, land shall be misdemeanors punishable as here in after provided: 1. Parking overtime. 2. Parking on or across any painted line of any parking space. 3. Parking more than 12 inches from curb. 4. Parking in a "No Parking" space. 5. Illegal use of any loaiding zone. 6. Parking at entrance of any alley or driveway. 7. Double parking. 8. Packing left side of curb. 9. Not displaying proper lights. 10. Disregard of stop sign. 11. Failure to obey traffic signals. . 12.
