Dies In Georgia
Thrmas Martin, father of Weldon
R. Martin of Andrews, died Tues
day at 3 a. m. at the home of a
laughter Mrs. A. K. Lemmings In
Adairsville. Ga. He was 93 years I
old and had been in ill health for ,
several months.
Mr. Martin was born in Tennes- j
see. but had spent most of hisj
life in Cherokee county as a farm- j ,
sr. His first wife was the former j '
Miss Dollie Whltaker of Andrews,]
-vho died in 1910. His second wife j
was Miss Liza Lunsford of Marble

for many years Southern Railway
passenger agent here, died Mon

S. C., infirmary.

Upon Mr. McCurdy's retirement
from the railroad, the family left
here for Augusta where they own

John Richard Jones, 68, died
suddenly at his home in Andrews
at 1:30 p. m. Sunday, Oct. 30.
He was a lifelong resident of
Andrews. Until his retirement a
year ago, he had been a night
