TEACHES NUTRITION CLASS
Mr*. Merelene Oxendine,
Lunchroom Manager at Pem
broke Elementary School,
taught a nutrition dan to the
students of Mrs. Mary S.
Chavis, 3rd grade teacher.
She stressed the importance
of eating food each day from
the five basic food groups.
She said that maintaining
good health should be the
number one thought in the
minds of the children, and
stressed that a proper diet is
not only essential for good
health but the sleeping habits
can also improve with a
balanced diet. The children
were given different foods
from each food group. Every
child had a great learning
experience. '
