Nov. 27. Declines of 14 a bale, and mora, on the most ac tive months featured the tradlnr In cotton today, the preaaure coming mainly from the selling out of long contracts. Heavy liquidation was In evidence on the opening and the re tort that It came from large traders had the effect of Inducing a ateady stream of liquidating orders from smaller longs during nesrly thewhole session. Toward the end there was much less pressure and the tune was Ustlnctly steadier. At the lowest the trading months wsre 88 to 84 points nnder the last quotations of last week while the close wss at net losses of 12 to 73 points. January sold off to 24.41 and closed at 24.67 cents a pound. The poor Liverpool had much to do with opening the market at the de cline but before the opening call was over heavy liquidation wss felt. Con siderable telling appeared to be at first Induced by a private crop esti mate of 10.049,000 bales but this was lost sight of when It was eiplslned that this estimate was in terms of 500 pound bsles. reslly meaning about 9.700.000 running bales, the terms of measure generally employed. Small dellverlea followed this sxplanatlon. but recoveries were not wide at any stage of the session, not even follow ing the posting of the dally statistics which counted the exports at 53,113 bales, bringing the total movement thus far this week up to 79.014 Open High Lo Dec. . , Tan. . .
