Chicago, Dec. l.--Although wheat prices showed considerable streuglli at times today ths market in th Hual- dealings reacted owing largely to as--sertlons that some foreign buyers had bsen selling back at less than re placement value. Corn finished un changed to lower; oats to 4'(t. to hi gain, and provisions, unchanged, to a rise of 12 cents. The reselling of wheat on tho part of foreign buyers was said to come from. Franc and Italy and to huve been at 6 to 8 centB under present cost figures. Increased selling pres sure 'from holders here wns notico-. able aa tha day drew to an end. and the'market closed at but little above th lowest figures of the scene.. Tha ' fact that primary receipts were again heavy acted as a curb on bullish sentiment, and so too did persistent 1 selling of ' Decembr and May from some commission houses that wer buying December. Apparent prospect or immediate farm relief legislation at Washing ton was partly responsible for an upward tendency wnloh th wheat market showed during th arlier dealings. Besides quotations at Liverpool wer, higher, additional rains In Argentina war reported and ther was a further reduction of 20 million bushels In estimates of . th Argentine exportable surplus.
