want of some proper body who duty it

BE It enacted by the General Assembly of
the Stale of North-Carolina, and it it hertby .
enacted by the authority of the same, 1 hat
from and after thtrpassing ol this act It shall
be the spetitl duty of the commissioners of
the town of Wilmington, and they are here
by enjoined to cause to be inforced by the
proper officers of ibe county of New-llano

several laws made for the regulation ef slaves
