The Washington Wrrespondcnt of the World sajs that Stanton and Blair have not been on speaking terms for some time past. Blair, since the late raid, charged Stanton and Halleck with incompetency. Be was so abusive that Halleck remonstrated with Lincoln. How the matter vvill end is not known, but it is believed that Stinton will resign. . A correspondent of the Tribune says that Lincoln, In private conversation, recognized all the elements of dissatisfaction which the new call for troops would produce, but stated emphatically that the men needed must be tyd. GOOD NEWS IF ! TRUKTIIE NOTORIOUS COLONEL KIRK REPORTED CAPTURED. We learn from passengers who came down on the Morganton train last night, that it was reported in Btatesville on yesterday and generally believed that J the notorious bushwhacker Col. Kiik, of Camp Vance notoriety, is now a prisoner in our hands, and is safely lodged in jail in Abingdon, Va. "This news was brought to Statesville by a man named Ingram, a private in Thomas' Legion, who has been on Pro vost duy in tbingdon for some time past but js now on Sis way to join his command near As.hev.ille. "lifgfam says that the day before ha left Abingdon, he saw ayankee Colonel brought into thfl place by some of 3forgans men chained and placed in jail. Tho men who were guarding him told Ingram in the presence of the prisoner that he wasfCol. Kirk of Tajlorsville, Tenn., and. the prisonerj did not deny it. They also xeported that a number "of Morgan's men had suddenly dashed into Taylorsville, Tenn., capturing Kirk and killing forty of his men. Ingram wa$ at firstsuspected .in Statesville of being one of Kirk's emissaries, but upon a thorough examination of his papers they were found to be correct, and the j Enrolling Officer at tnai piace gave mm iransporws tioh to Asheville. He came through on foot from , Abingdon to Statesville. We hope ! the news he bringg my be true, but even if it is let us relax none of oar energies in preptring to meet that large band of organized tories which- ia known to be in the mountains and which may find some other: leader equally as dangerous as Kirk.
