At a meet ing yesterday afternoon the junior class of Trinity College decided to build a memorial to the class at the Institu tion at the close of the next session, when the members will be graduated. The form of the memorial was not de cided upon, but it was decided to be gin the collection of funds at once. The officer for ' the class for the ensuing! year were elected as follows: President, Mr-,H. O. Foard: vice president, Mr. L. T. -Singleton; secretary. Miss Nan fioodson; treasurer, Mr. D. B. Phillips. The election of Mr. Foard as president, and Misa Ooodson, as secretary, were unanimous. Tha class, which numbers about W, including 12 young ladies, de cided to have a banquet the night of Thursday: November 3rd. The presi dent appointed a committee consisting Of Messrs. I T. Tile little girl had gone through a severe attack of diphtheria but was recover ing when she was selr-ed yesterday af ternoon with paralysis of the throat. All possible was done to alleviate her Intense suffering but It was to no avail and she died a few hours after the at tack. Mrs. Oeorglnna Daniel Fernell died Sunday night at her residence In Co lumbia. She had been extremely lit for some time and her death tin d been ex pected for several days. The deceased. who was a consin of Rev. W. W. Daniel, of Columbia, was born In Inurens coun ty, and Is the widow of the late Rev. Samuel L. Fernell. J. W. and J. K.
