Dr. Hhearer preached .from the' text: "For her have . . we ni continuing city." having before him the notes of a sermon delivered 42 year ago. The sermon Itself, however, oould hardly have been the name, that of y"eter day being the outreme of deep an I touching experience throughout a life-time of the truth or the text, the trannltory character of human life, He brief npx'n of existence and then the exit Into another world. The address Is one that Dr. Hmlth makes In the churches and we have no doubt that his startling array of farts and statistics had something to do with the unanimous and hearty way In which the Assembly respond ed to the appei.l from the denomina tional Institutions.
