Interest and are re garded as first class. An offer of par was received yesterday for the entire allotment. It is proposed to macadam eight milis of road leading towards Blue mont, Montreat, Ashevllle. the north fork road an.1 Leakey's Gap. Work will be commenced as soon as the contracts can be let and men placed upon the Job. It la hoped to have a good part of the macadam in place before the heavy winter rains set In. This step of the township, of which Black Mountain Is the centre, la significant. It is said to be the first of the kind in the State to have Issued such bonds. It indicates progressive spirit. Nothing of a definite nature could be ascertained yesterday as to. the cause of the wreck to No. 38, the Southern's splendid New York to New Orleans Limited, which was de railed between King's Mountain and Bessemer City early Sunday night, the tender and one mall car living the tracks and live mall clerks and one pa-setiger being more or less painfully injured. The accident oc curred at a Jiflu iilt bend and was doubtle.-sH occasioned, as intimated by The Observer yesterday morning, by defective tracks. The curve has long been feared by careful engineers and the accident to No. SX did not come as any great surprise. Fortunately, the train was one composed exclu sively of the heaviest and safest coaches, otherwise a fearful catas trophe might have respited.
