The members of St Mark's Luth eran church have a distressing mis sion to perform at prayer service to. morrow night' that of caking formal action upon the letter of resignation which their pastor. Rev. Dr. Robert C. Holland, tendered the church council Sunday. Dr. Holland has been pastor of St. Mark's for the past 10 years and under his ministrations the church has steadily grown 1 He re the mission work of the Board of Mis sions of the United Synod of the Lutheran Church in the South, his field embracing six States and certain mission stations in Japan. He wll also serav as president of th board which oMlce he has filled wiuh such marked, success for a long ilrae. The council and mtynbers of St. Mark's church cannot do otherwise tnairac- -J cede to Lr.
