In the Great Interstate Membership Y. M. C. A. Contest Yesterday's Showing The Final Rally To-morrow Night. Interest in the great membership contest between Charleston and Char lotte for such the Interstate contest has become is excited to fever heat abou. the new building of the Toung Men's Christian Association. The committeemen met at 1 o'clock and the Juniors at 6:30 o'clock. The report for the day for the Charlotte association was 604 while Charleston reported 4 45. By phone message be tween the cities last night It was learned that the lobbies of the Charleston association were crowded with men watting for the Charlotte report. .By the papers and by the score it Is seen that the fight for first place is centred on the Charlotte as sociation. Charleston seems deter mined to win out and no effort will be spared by the Charlestonlans to win. Every member 1b expected to exert every effort In his power to overcome the workers who sre push ing Charlotte so hard for the chief honors. This Is the first time that Charlotte and Charleston have oome to a test of strength In anything and It shows that Charlotte is crowding the South Carolina city In population as well as other Interests. A great final rally will be held Mon day night at which time the final re ports will be sent In At 10 o'clock the reports will be exchanged by 'phone and the winner will at once be known.
