' 1 4 I 1 I m FERTILIZERS r The State ok South Carolina raises more cotton per acre than North Carolina. This Is done by a free tise of fertilisers. There are many planters in South Carolina who use a half ton of fertilizer per acre at a cost of $10.00, and raise two bales of cotton worth 1100.00. North Carolina uses on the average 200 pounds per acre, costing 12.00. and raises one third of a bale of cotton, worth 117.00. WHAT'S THE ANSWER? Some people don't believe It Is fertilizer. TIIE SOUTHERN COTTON OIL COMPANY believes It Is. This belief la backed up by an offer to give away a-certain amount of fertilizer for ex perimental purposes.
