The work of Rev. J. S. William, chaplain of "The Mission of the Good Samaritan." began last Friday. De cember I. and although it is hardly1 under way a yet, Mr. Williams is very enthusiastic about it. He says that his reception had been most cor dial and that he considers the extent I of the field of his work almost with out wnniu it was announced sev eral days ago that Mr. Williams had resinned from his pastoral duties to take up th!s work. He says this resig natlun is not necessarily permanent, but that his church has simply re leased him for one year from denomi national pastoral work. This does not mean, however, that the work of the mission is to last only that long but that the man acting as chaplain will be employed by the year.
