Carolina, five feet by three, well engraved and finished

It is admitted on all sides, that such a work is a
great desideratum in our State, aed it is in consequence
of the frequent enquiries on this subject, that the unde! -signed
have embarked in the enterprise.
The only attempted work of this kind is that of
McRea, published in 1833 : and since then the Counties.
Towns, Roads and Post-offices have increased in num
ber, and all our works of Internal Improvements, with
small exceptions, been set on foot.
It is intended that the New -Map, now proposed to
be published, shall contain, accurately laid down, all
the Natural Features of the Stats, the Inlets, Harbors,
Sounds, Lakes, Rivers, Creeks and Mountains, he.
Also, the public improvements and iirtiticial divisions.
