Judge Neal's charge to the grand
jurv, which consumed about an hour
and twenty minutes, was one of the
best we have heard in the Court
House here in some time. His eu
logy upon the Jury system was ex
ceedingly fine, and his effort to im
press upon the people the great im
portance of better roads was not

lost upon the great many who heard
the Court room have been heard to
make verv favorable comments. I
