Richardsoh presided over the meeting. It opened with a prayer led by Mrs. H. B. Har ris. The singing of a hymn followed. Mrs. Pippin presented the program entitled "Neighbor hood Ecumenicity." The pur pose of the lesson was to ex amine the spirit that lies behind the urgency of all aspirations toward unity and to confront the possibilities of a new re lationship with Ronvn Catho lics, Baptists and sect groups. After the concluding prayer announcements were made of district ^ and state meetings scheduled for March and April. A nominating committee was appointed by Mrs. Richardson. A delicious refreshment plate with Russian Tea wasj^erved to nine members and avlsKor, Mrs. Charlld Timberlake. The Woman's Society of Christian Service met at the Methodist Church late Sunday afternoon for a study course. Eight members were present. Mrs F. G. Methodists Circles Meet Oulda Furguson Circle The Oulda Furguson Cirple of the WSCS of the Louisburg Methodist Church met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Charles Davis, with nine members pres ent. Upon arrival the guests were served delicious refresh ments by the hostess. In the absence of the leader, Mrs. J. B. Hight presided over the meeting. Mrs. J. H. Hodges conducted the devotional, using the tenth chapter of Proverbs. She pre- ' sented an interesting program on "School Dropouts." The meeting was closed with a prayer by Mrs. Wade Gold ston. Circle No. 1 Meets (Frk. B.W.)? Circle No. 1 of the Woman's Society of Chris tian Service of the Frankllnton Methodist Church met at the home of Mrs. A. H. Vann Mon day afternoon. In the absence of the chair-, man, Mrs. J. E. Whitfield pre sided. 'She opened the meeting with a prayer followed by a scripture reading. The presiding officer called attention to three of the New Testament women ? Mary, mother of Jesus; Mary, moth er of John Mark, and Dorcus? and their devotion to home and family. Mrs. J. O. Green, Sr., and Miss Nelle Joyner gave the pro gram, "Where the Women Are." They emphasized women's work in business J[ov ernment and the churCTT." Announcements of the annual meeting of the WSCS at* Front Street Methodist Church in Bur lington on March 15-17, the annual District meeting at Trin^ lty Methodist Church in Raleigh on March 22, and the Sub-Dis trlcf meeting at Wendell on April. 28 were made.
