Historical Society To Meet The March meeting of the Franklin County Historical Society will be held Thursday night, March 27, at 8 P.M. in the Community Room of the First Citizens Bank Building located on Bickett Blvd. A program on Southern Folklore and Folk Music will be presented by Mrs.. Howell Bass. Mrs. Bass, a resident of the Mays Crossroads section of Nash County, is a talented musician and a well known authority on her subjects. She is a graduate of Louisburg College. Shearon in telling of plana to hate Jackie Phillis and Bryant Hen derson on Wake EMCa annual meeting program. Shearon, manager of the Wake Forect Based Corpora tion, indicated that the member meeting would be held on Friday, March 28 at the Wake Forest High School Gymnasium in Wake Forest. He went on to explain that Jackie of Selma and Bryant of Oxford were last year's winners of an expense-paid tour of Washington, D. C. and that these young people were on the program to relate thfir experiences and observations of this trip. "I believe our members will be able to more closely identify with youth after having heard these two young people talk," Shearon said. "Registration will begin at 6:30 p.m., and the pro gram will commence prompt ly at 7:30," he added.
