Dorris Duke Gets $10,000,000, Only Third Of Estate Dorris, Duke, tall, slender, blonde daughter of the late James B. Duke, celebrated her 21st birthdayj re cently. For this young lady, who has been pictured publicly as "Ameri ca’s richest girl,” It meant far less of wealth and luxury than it means the coming of responsibility. Under the provisions of her fa ther’s will, this is what the day brought to Dorris: She comes into possession in her own right of property worth an mestimated number of millions of lollars, made up of ojie-third of a )ne-third share in the residue of the state her father left when he died n 1924. Perhaps a guess at the •mount Doris receives be made at H0.000.000. She becomes a trustee of the Duke Endowment, which, by her father’s will and by trusts he set ->P prior to his death, handles the sulk of the tremendous Duke for tune, entirely for charitable, pur poses. When Doris is 25, she will receive mother third of her one-third share n her father’s residuary estate, and at the age of 3 0 the final third will lomc to her. C.-—Football fans from all sections, of this state will follow the undefeated, untied Blue Devils of Duke to Atlanta, Ga., where on Saturday they will at tempt to make sure . their claim1 for aT share in national grid honors^ in their final game of the schedule with Georgia Tech. Tech will no doubt be the tough est foe the Blue Devils have faced this season but the game should bring from the Wademen the best they have offered this year as they come up to their final test with a chance to finish the season with an unmarred record. The Blue Devils were not up to standard against N. C. State, be ing sadly lacking in blocking but this week they are going back to that department in order to get brushed up for the game with the Yellow Jackets. Duke must have blocking if their ground attack is to function. The game will bring together two pals from childhood days in tliej role of opponents. Freddie Craw ford of Duke and Jack Phillips of Tech, both hailing from the little town of Waynesville, played to gether - throughout high and prep school, and for the first time Sat urday they will be foes They are the two big stars of their respective teams. Tech has been the "hard luck” team of the south this season. Statistically they have outplayed; every team they have met this sea-| son but due to many breaks of the game have suffciecf defeat several| time?. In this, their final game of j the season, they should be at top strength. The Blue Devils will invade At lanta wearing the crown of both the Sou than i conb.’-ence an.i the North Carolina Big Five. They clinched those hnors with the vic tory over State, with a record of four wins and no losses in each championship campaign. E. Why Children Need a Liquid Laxative The temporary relief children get from some synthetic, habit-forming cathartic may cause bowel strain, and even set-up irritation in the kidneys. A properly prepared liquid laxative brings a perfect movement. There is no discomfort at the time and no weakness after. You don’t have-to give the child “a double dose” a day or two later. Can constipation be corrected in children? “Yes!” say medical men, “Yes!” say many mothers who have followed this sensible medical advice 1. Select a good liquid laxative. 2 Give the dose you find suited to the system. 3. Gradually reduce the dose until the bowels are moving regularlj without'aid. An approved liquid laxative (one that is widely used for children) is Dr. Caldwell’s Syrup Pepsin. The mild laxative action of this excellent preparation is the best form of help for children—and grown-ups, too The dose can be regulated for anj age or need. Your druggist has Dr. Caldwell’i Syrup Pepsin. Member N. Ft, A. DIZZINESS relieved by Black-Draught “I decided to take Thedford’s Black-Draught, as I had been hav ing bilious spells,” writes Mr. Charles E. Stevens, of ColumbuB, Ind. “When I get bilious, I feel sleepy and tired and do not feel like doing my work. It is hard to tell how I feel, but I do not feel good. I get awfully dizzy. I know then that I had better take some thing. After I found how good Black-Draught is, that is what I have used. I guess it rids me of the bile, for I feel better — don’t feel like I am dropping off to sleep every time I sit down. That, to me, is a very bad feeling.” Now you can get Black-Draught in the form of a SlFRUP, for Child Kan.
