Thcro will be services and a sermon in the evening. 1 l Charlotte Observer. To Enter the Ministry. Among the most interesting" features ol the approaching convention of the Epis copal Church of North Carolina to the people of Charlotte, will be the ordination of Col. K. A. Osborne to the ministry. It is a'well known fact in the commuuity that Col. Osborne prepared himself for the ministry two years ago, but was com pelled to stop his course just before the time for his examination on account of an affeoioa of the eyes. Since tint time he k8 continued in the practice i f law. Finding himself partially recovered faun the1 affection, he recently completed his tudics, and a few weeks ago went to Kaleigh and stood au examination, i Col. Osborne is a man of high culture and refinement, a most energetic and con cicntious worker, and will adorn' the hih aud noble profession which he lias adopted.. It may saft-ly bo predicted that he will immediately take a position among the first ministers in the P.piscopal Church of Xorth Carolina, lie will not enter actively, into the work of the ministry until fall, when ho will be assigned a tield of labor. inir to quality, V?
