October llth and 12th. We can assure' , our Petersburg, friends that they may prepare lor a rich, intellectual treat, as" our Reverwl friendy though a devout and pious gentleman withal, is one of those . peculiar kind of orators, out of the pulpit, who isJgTfted, with a keen perception of what, con-, stitntes true wit and humor, and Can demonstrate it to the satisfaction - of all who may belso fortunate as to hear him lecture on the subject above mentioned. In his readings, also, he displays a degree of pathos and genuine eloquence which js rarely excelled. The Street Railway. One is callqd a first-class car, and the other a second-class L car, but toe distinction is oniy in me name,as we lwve intimated. Why not. make the prices uniform, by charging, for instance, five cents ou each car, (the jmce j charged on all othar strict railways.) We think it would -ultiiuately inure to th benefit of the company as well as the pub lic. .
