At the beginning of the year, while their building was in great need of repairs, the members of this Church resolved to do nothing for tb,eir own comfort until they had carried out certain important benevolent and missionary -plans. The close of the year finds them with their church beautifully renewed, while they have increased rather than remitted their benevolent operations. For this they wish to return thanks in a service of praise on the closing night of the year. For the past two months the ladies and children of the congrega tion have been preparing to make a thank offering at this time, which it is expected will entirely make up the deficiency on the improvement-fund. amj tne gentlemen will contribute at tne 8ame time for making up the de ficiency in the current expenses or me Church They do not seek outside aid in this, but will be very glad for their friends from other churches to enjoy the services with them The exercises will consist almost entirely of music, of which the programme is published below.
