Dr. John O. Kilgo, when his name waa called, gave e report as to the re ligion, influences et Trinity College. Be said In substance tbat while there wsa much adverse criticism or ntmseu or the management of Trinity College, yet the religious life at Trinity was well looked after. In several insUnces there bad been bright conversions and the student started well; that the indifference of pastors and coolness or churches had the effect to chill and discourage the youngs Christian and in several insUnces they bad come H.ir tn the r-oliece without faith and he had to nurse them back to the raltb. Be spoke in rather a discour aged mood and said bis management of the college wss unsatisfactory. He was ready to go to uuoa or any oiaer field, the church wanted him and bis faithful little wife was ready to go with him. . , Bishop Candler said at the conclus ion of Dr. Kilgo's address that he thought Dr. Kilgo was uselessly dis couraged; that be been along there himself and that later be found he was unnecessarily alarmed. A few brethren have been very anxious to bring the Bsssett affair be fore the conference, but up to tbe ad jwrnment of the morning session wiser judgment had prevailed.
