Hendersonville, July 15: A report Is in circulation here to the effect that T. C.J Williams, Jr., of Columbia, spent most of the past week in Ashe- ville, where he went to talk to rep resentatives of the Southern Railway Company about raising the track" at a point near this place. This ,1s a mat ter in which, those who are proposing to build a great lake here are interest ed. One report is to the effect that the money has been raised for this project, but that it is uncertain what action the Southern Railway people will take. Reidsville, N. C, July 15: Mr.J. T. Alderman, of Henderson, formerly superintendent fof the Reidsville graded schools, is sending out an in teresting letter calling attention to the Aldermans of North Carolina to Jhe eeneral meeting of Congress of J we Aldermans, their descendants and those directly interested, to be held at Jamestown on Thursday, August 1, The purpose of the convention is the gathering together of members of the United States.
