The plan of MtTUAL Ixsub.\nck must commend itself
to our community, for it can be demonstrated that we
have saved within the last six years upwards of $30,000
by insurance in the North Carolina Mutual Company;
that is, we should have paid to liave kept the same in
surance in the foreign joint stock companies that sum
more than we have actually paid; and yet the North
Carolina Mutual Company has received between $50(K»
and $tiOOO more from our community than it has paid
out for losses here,—showing that we are favorably sit
uated, as compared with other places in the ,‘?tate, for
Insurance.
Our Company has gone into operation favorably, hav
ing the day we organised applications te th« amount of
^Jll^),000,’and the Company is now placed upon a firm
footing.
,\ny Director, authorised .\gent, or Secretary, muy
receive Applications, but they will not be binding until
