Tha body of Bepreaeatative Bagsdale, of South Caro lina, who died here suddenly today while in tha office of his physician awaiting treatment for heart trouble, w' ' a taken tomorrow night to tha Bagsdale home in Florence, where tha funeral services will be held Friday afternoon. Immediately after bia death, word waa aent to Congress and both Houaea ad journed In respect. In the Senate, Vice President Marshall appointed a commit tee to attend the funeral composed of Henators Pmith and Dial, of South Caro lina, Ashurst of Ariaona, Beckham of Kentucky, Harrison of Mississippi, l'er nald of Maine, Ppenccr of Missouri, Ster ling of South Dakota and Sutherland of West Virginia. A resolution expreaaing sympathy with the family wgst&ntro-, dueed by Senator Smith and adopted. .Tow-House of which Mr. Bagsdale had been a member for ait years will appoint a committee to attend the funeral and adopt a esolution of condolences Jo morrow on convening. Mr. Ragsdale realized after reaching his physician's office that death was near. It Is believed, for he turned to his physician and asked him to hold his hand. The physician complied and in a few minutes the Bepresentativa waa dead. His death was announced as hav ing been caused by acute dilation of the heart. He also had been taking treat ment for nasal trouble. Before his election to Congress In 1913 to succeed J. Kdwin Ellrrbe, Mr. Bagsdale practiced law in Florence and had been a member of the South Caro lina House and Senate. He was 47 years of ago and a graduate of the I'niversity of South Carolina. Germany's financial program railing for the raising of 2.'v 000,000,000 marks annually agreed upon by Mathioa Erzbergcr, Minister of 1 Finance, and n group of experts, was published today by tha North Gerram Gazette. The conference was aaid to be ia complete agreement on the finan cial reforms. Eight, million marks will be obtained by war taxes, according to the Gazetta'a summary of the proposed plan. The remaining 17,000,000,000 must be raised from new sources. The first of these will be n heavy increase in the tat oa business turnovers.
