Mr. Editor:—l have thought so of ten of my past life and of the people I have once mingled with, and when I consider it, I ask myself the ques tion: Where are they now, and where am I? Mr. Editor, I can well remember when I was a boy, every man living on the Raleigh road, as it is now call ed, from Moore’s mill on Haw river to Pittsboro, and also the good old citi zens of Pittsboro. I well remember the names of all of them from Rev. G. P. Moore, a good old Baptist minister, that I once had the privilege of hear ing preach, and now he has gone from earth to a better home. There are so many I could mention. It has been only a little while when my only dear brother, F. M. Farrell, was a young man and it seems to me now that he is the oldest Farrell living, and there are only three or four that are older than I am. Now, Mr. Editor, I think the time I has come when we should think well for ourselves.
