WUkesboro, names of colored

during the past year.
John Cashion plead guilty to
an indictment charging that he
deprived negroes of the right to
rote by refusing to register them
and was find |800 and placed on
probation for a period of three
years.
The indictment contained four
teen counts and was returned by
the grand jury in Greensboro
after a number of witnesses were
examined. A number of witnesses
were examined in the trial yester
day and they testified that they
went before Mr. Cashion, who ■
was registrar in WUkesboro fof
