B The first was a North Wllkes boro-Elkin coarse, opening in North Wilkes bo ro Tuesday, March 28, and continuing weekly through May 9. The other three' and their dates are: Salisbury, March 20 DR. GILBEKT HORRAX May 10; Raleigh, March 30-May 18, and a course to run succes sively in Ahoakle, Bdenton and Blizabeth City — each city hav ing two meetings — beginning March 31 and running through May 19. The latter will be spon sored with the cooperation of the First Medical District of the North Carolina Medical Society. Dr. Gilbert Horrax, head of the Department of Neurosurgery of Lahey Clinic, Boston, and con sultant to Cushing Veterans Hos pital, Framingham, Mass., spoke at North Wilkesboro Tuesday and at Salisbury Wednesday. All four courses will follow the same routine — a clinic to be held each week at 4 p. m., except in the case of North Wilkesboro when the afternoon session be gins at 3. Dinner sessions follow ed by formal lectures will be held each night of the weekly program at 7 p. m. in Salisbury, Raleigh, and Elisabeth City, Ahoskie and Bdenton. They will being at 6:30 in North Wilkesboro and Elkin. i .j - Firemen Put Out Two Fires On One Trip LENOIR, March 27—Lenoir firemen came close to mass pro duction last night. En route to Valmead, where a cotton waste house at Moor* Clot ton Mill was afire, the firemen spotted a blaze in the Valmead Grocery Store. They stopped, extinguished the store fire, then in a few minutes reached the burning warehouse and put out that fire. Damage to the warehouse was estimated by firemen at $1,000 in addition to 26 • or 30 bales of waste cet^pn which was damaged.
