Alvis Gorum pitched the remainder of the game and was very effective /until the tenfth, when Pitcher Jimmy Jones doubled off Dick Stockton's glove In center with Dosch, who had singled, scoring on the play. Flashers, fighting every Inn ing to get back Into the ball game, scored one each In the third; fourth, fifth, eighth and ninth frames. The tying run came when Subblondo walked, went to sec ond on a wild pitch and scored on Drake Pardue's single over second.
