The Oxertow Remarbihle Escape. To-
teniuy the city was visited by a shower or
series of showers of wonderful force and vol
ume, so mnch so indeed as to completely de
luge our thoroughfares, making Canal street

off as if nothing bad happened, not even com

On the previous night two horses went
