World Dag of Prager Fridag Friday, March 7is the World day of prayer for Missions. The day will he observed hy the women of all Tryon churches at a union service Fridag after noon at 3 o’clock at the Parish House. Mrs. Camp hell of the John C. Campbell Folk School at Brass town. N.C. will speak during part of the hour. Kiwanis at Columbus Tues. Meeting at Stearns School building. W. B. Stone in charge. Dr. John Brittan Clark current event speaker. Time lp.m. Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Upham, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert and Miss Doris Upbam are spending the •week end in Tryon. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sills have returned to Tryon again and are in the Parson cottage.
