The Columbus Citizen is the name of another newspaper for Polk County published at Columbus and printed in Rutherfordton It made its first ap pearance yesterday. The first news paper actually printed it? Columbus was the Polk County News of Jan. 4, 1899. It takes a lot of effort, and many attempts to get anywhere. This new paper may become a vital force in the county. We welcome anything for the welfare of Polk County. - Preaching at Mr. O.B.Kelley’s Sunday af ternoon at 3 o’clock by Second Baptist church.
