MONDAY, JUNE 15, 1931 RailuDaij Clerks Hold Comuention SALfJDA, June 13. —The Southern Railway board of the Brotherhood of Railway clerks will open its triennial convention in Saluda Monday morning. Fifty clerks and 20 visitors are expected. Sessions will be held in the Southern Railway home here. L.W. Reigel, of Chattanooga, Tenn., general chairman, and F. S. Gross, of Chattanooga, general secretary, will be among those attending. The convention will last through Tuesday. Auto Accident Sunday Mr. D.W.Pate was knocked down and had his arm brocken Sunday after noon when he stepped from a truck in front of an auto driven by Miss Helen Morgan. The accident was unavoidable it is said. Mr. Pate is m St. Lukes hospital. Outside of his broken arm and minor bruises he is getting along nicely. Executive Scout Meet Thursdojj) The Polk County Scout Committee will meet Thursday night at 6 o’clock at the Scout Camp on Lake Lanier for supper and business meeting. F.P. Bacon is chairman. Lynn 9, Ellenboro 8 Lynn played Ellenboro Saturday afternoon at Harmon Field and won by a score 9-8. Amos Foster pitched for Lynn and Rob Capps caught. Kiwanis Meets Tuesday . 1 P.M. Mimosa Inn.
