Saluda Firm Bankrupt
G. L. Thompson, of Saluda, doing business as the Thompson Grocery
company, has filed voluntary petition in bankruptcy with J. Y. Jordan,
Sr., clerk of United States district court. Mr. Thompson claims business
and personal insolvency, He has listed his liabilities at $19,699.56 and
his assets at $11,693.17. A long list of small debts had accumulated
against his business, forcing this action.
Seniors Hear Kitvanians
The chances for the right kind of boy are as good as they ever were,
said the Kiwanis speakers today to eighrboys of the high school setiior
class who were invited guests. Know what you want, be sure you are
talented for it, have the perseverance to follow the course you have
chosen regardless of hard knocks, study constantly to have a thorough
knowledge of your work, learn to love service for others, be courteous
and considerate of Others and there will be room for you at the top.
