STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA, POLK COUNTY WHEREAS, C. W. BALLENGER and Lucinda T. BALLENGER execut ed to the FIRST BANK & TRUST CO. of TRYON the certain deed of trust dated July 2nd, 1928, recorded in book 35, page 251, office of Reg ister of Deeds for Polk County, and a suplemental agreement thereto, which is recorded in the office of Register of Deeds for Polk County in book 35 at page 302, and WHEREAS, D.S. BLOIS was sub stituted as trustee in lieu of FIRST BANK & TRUST COMPANY of TRYON by the instrument which is Recorded in the office of Register of Deeds of Polk County, in book 40 at page 1, reference to the aforesaid instruments being hereby had, and WHEREAS, default has been made in the paymen/ of the indebtedness secured by the aforesaid instruments, and the undersigned substitute trustee has been requested to exercise the power of sale: NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the power of sale contained in instru ments above mentioned, the under signed substitute trustee will sell the property hereinafter described, at pub lic auction, to the highest bidder, for cash, at the Court House door in Co lumbus, on Monday, the 20th day of June, 1932, at 12 o’clock noon. The following is a description of the property: The certain parcels or lots of land situate in the Town of Tryon, Polk County, State of North Carolina: Beginning at an iron pin in the Northern margin of Pacolet Street, the Southeasterly corner ot the Justice lot and running thence with the Northern margin of Pacolet Street N. 86 deg. 3 min. E. 286 8 feet to the intersection of Pacolet and Chestnut Streets, thence with the Westerly margin of Chestnut Street N, 3 deg. 53 min. W. 29 feet to a stake; thence N. 60 deg. 55 min, W. 193.83 feet to a stake; thence N. 4 deg. 19 min. W. 119,3 feet to the center line of the railroad; thence with the center line of Railroad N. 60 deg. 40 min, W, 533.83 feet; thence S, 5 deg. 20 min. W. 533 feet to a stake in the Northern margin of Pacolet Street; thence with the Northern margin of Pacolet Street N. 86 deg. 3 min. E. 139 feet to a stake, the Southwesterly corner of Justice lot; thence with the lines of the Justice lot N. 23 deg. 6 min. E. 160 feet to a maple; thence S. 82 deg. 8 min. E. 173 feet to the center of an old well; thence S. 4 deg. 19 min. E. 108 21 to the beginniJ^ The above property was conveyer to Lucinda T. Ballenger by the fol lowing deeds: Tryon Paper Box Co, recorded in Book 29, page 99; James H. Paine and wife recorded in Book 30, at page 63; W.H. Stearns record ed in Book 28, at page 399; J. W. Kennedy and wife recorded in Book 31a/ page 405, all references being to deeds in /he office of Regis/er of Deeds for Polk Coun/y, and said deeds being referred to for a more full and complete descrip/ion of the said prop er/y.
