Esc 1-31-28 Jolly Kiwunis Meeting The Tryon Kiwanis meeting last night at Mimosa Inn was a jolly affair. Pres. J.N.Jackson told of his tour to South America. Speech of Pres. Harris at the Detroit convention heard over the radio. Rest of the evening devoted to music. Miss Eliza* beth Landrum played the piano, her father a harp, and Dr. Derby a uke. Auto Wreck Victim Dies Frank Gibson, young man injured in auto wreck Sunday , died at 7 o'clock this morning and will be buried Wednesday, 11 a. m. at Silver Creek church . Dell Wagner Dies Son of James Wagner, Trgon Route One, died this morning in a Spartanburg hospital. Golt Trophies Arrived 12 beautiful trophies arrived todag for the annual golf tournament at the Countrg club and theg will he displaced at the Ballenqer Co. show window. BOOST! Now is the time for all citizens to boost Tryon. Tryon has a strong, safe bank. The merchants are doing their best to promote community good.
