Bobbie Bishop is visiting Mrs. O. H. Hedrick at Hendersonville. ** * * Mr. and Mrs. George A. Cathey have retudned from Charlotte where they visited relatives and friends for several days and at tended the wedding of Mr. William H. Clark to Miss Marie Faires. ** * * Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Derby and children leave today for their vacation in Norwalk and Cleve land, Ohio. While there Dr. Der by will attend the North Ohio Dental Convention at Cedar Point. ** * * Miss Gertrude Schoff leaves to day for her vacation at Cadillac* Mich. Miss Susan Harper, who is visiting at Ann Arbor, will return to Tryon with her. ** * * Mrs. Margaret Culkin Banning and daughter, Miss Mary, Mrs. Carroll Rogers and daughter, Miss Susie, have returned to Tryon from Washington and New York. ** * * Mrs. F. H. Snipes and children of Knoxville, Tenn., have arrived for a,n extended visit with Mrs. Snipes’ mother, Mrs. James Jack son, and family. ** * * Mrs. S. T. Wood entertained the Ten O’clock Bridge club on Thurs day morning at her home on Mark ham Road. ** * * John G. Landrum, Jr., of Land rum, S. C., has a position with the Tryon Bank & Trust Company.
