Robinson of Rutherford College, formerly pastor of the Try on Methodist church, will conduct the services assisted by the Rev. L. J. Keels and the Rev. L. R. Akers, Jr. Members of the Try on Fire Department of which Mr. Glover is secretary, will serve as pall bearers. Interment in Tryon cemetery. Melvin Hill Man Fatally Wounded Chesnee. Sept. s.—Clyde Hen derson, 38, of the Melvin Hill sec tion, died today from the acciden tal, discharge of a .22 calibre rifle a store near Aberdeen, N. C., y was reported. The ?«ccident, which happened at Olin Wilkins’ store, occurred when the rifle accidentally went off in the hands of a man in the store. No inquest will be held, it was announced. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p. m„ at the Melvin Hill church, conducted by the Rev. T. Herbert Parris. Interment will follow in the churchyard. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ollie Henderson; one son, Howard; two daughters, Merl Jean and Bernice; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Henderson, Chesnee, route ] ; one brother, P. ,T. Henderson, Campobello, route 2; two sisters, Mrs. F. C. Westbrook, Chesnee; Mrs. Ed. Lyles, Chesnee, route 1. —Spartanburg Herald. Resettlemen To Assist Farm Families In State Farm families in North Caro lina who are aided by the Resettle ment Administration will be ad vanced funds for the purchase or lease of land, livestock, equip ment and subsistence goods, ac cording to Homer H. B. Mask, of Raleigh. N. C., Director of Rural Resettlement for Region IV, which is made up of Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. “All advances will be properly secured by mortgages on real I property, on personal property or on crops, and are repayable with in a reasonable period,” Mr. Mask said. “The Resettlement program has to main phases,” Mr. Mask added, “rehabilitation, the temporary phase, and resettlement, the per ’ manent phase.” Circus Today At Hendersonville The Robbins Circus which was scheduled for Tryon on Saturday fut cancelled the date, on account of being much lalrger than last year, is showing today at Hender sonville for afternoon and evening performances.
