Public Meeting at Parish Hall Tonight A number of out of town people of prominence have been invited to the public meeting to be held tonight at 8 o’clock at the Parish House for the purpose of organiz ing a movement to secuj^ the seg regation of first offender criminals under 21 from the hardened crim inals. All the civic organizations and women’s clubs of the community are invited to participate in the movement and express their views on the subject. The final goal of the movement is to save as many young men as possible from a life of crime and misery and to help them re-estab lish themselves as worthwhile citizens. Judge Pless and other officials have endorsed the move ment as one of the best solutions toward reducing crime in this country and plans are underway to extend the movement through out the state. Every man and woman inter ested is invited to attend the meet ing tonight at 8 o’clock at the Parish House. Oddities The National Federation of Post Office Clerks will initiate a ten weeks radio program Friday after noon at 4:45 over WSM, Nash ville, Tenn. The nature of the pro gram will be to relate some inter esting oddities that have been found in the work of Postal clerks throughout the nation. It prom ises to be second to Ripley’s '“Be lieve It Or Not.”
