Est. 1-31-28 Gosnell Home Lost By Fire Sunday The house of Mrs. Catherine Hardy, occupied by Lem Gosnell and family, near Horse Shoe Curve, was destroyed by fire Sunday night about 10:30 o’clock. All clothing and household goods were lost. The first member of the family was awakened when the house began to fall in and he aro used the others in time to escape with their lives. Anyone desiring to help this family may telephone the Bulletin office or see any mem ber of the Gosnell family. At pre sent they are doubling up in the homes of relatives. Children Overcome By Monoxide Gas Margaret Bishop, age 12, daugh ter of Jason Bishop of Campobello, S. C. and Mildred Bishop, 12-year old daughter of Fred Bishop, were almost suffocated by deadly mon oxide gas Sunday afternoon while parked in a closed Pontiac car which had a def ective exhaust pipe. The children became unconscious suddenly and were rushed to St. Lukes hospital where they were treated and revived. Mrs. M. A. Laughter, 74, died at 4:30 his morning at her home in Lynn. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Lynn Baptist church with the Rev. L. J. Keels officiating. The deceased is survived by thefollow ing children,, Mrs. John Fisher; Mrs. Lindsey Smith, Mrs. Clyde Hooker, Miss Mary Laughter and John and Bill Laughter. TRYON, N. C., MONDAY, NOV. 30, 1936 Bazaar Attractions For two-bits, 25 cents, one-quar ter of a dollar, the citizens and vis itors of Tryon will have the plea sure of enjoying a delicious Tea on Wednesday afternoon from 3 to 6 o’clock at the Parish House, when they visit the St. Agnes Guild Ba zaar. The. tea will be in charge of that connoisseur of fine foods,Mrs. J. W. Richardson. The St. Agnes Guild members have been busy making useful Christmas gifts to sell'at the Ba zaar to get money for their charity work. But whether you need any thing or not you’ll enjoy seeing these beautiful things without extra charge. There will be Peasley dolls on parade, followed by white ele phants; scenes of the Holmes’ Mountain Gardens, beautiful flo wers, orchard blown dresses, aprons and smocks, cakes, candies and many “Misses Laneous” gifts And for a small charge you may have your palm read by a strange, mys terious palmist. You can’t afford to miss it. It’s all for charity and you will enjoy good food, see a lot of attractive things and meet many friends in a delightful atmosphere. Injured Saturday Harley Kuykendall suffered se vere injuries Saturday when he was thrown from an automobile that collided with Mrs. W. K. Davenport’s car at Landrum. Mrs. Davenport and little daughter were also injured slightly, Kiwanis Tuesday The Kiwanis club meets Tues day at 1 p. m. at Hotel Tryon.
