12 Gypsies Seek Hearing on Writ Os Habeas, Corpus Twelve of 16 Gypsies jailed in Asheville Saturday in connection with the larceny of S7OO from Mrs. Tennie Payne, of Leicester, filed petition in superior court re questing a hearing on a writ of habeas corpus. Mrs. Payne reported to the sher iff’s office here that two women and a man fleeced her of the money after telling her fortune.
