At six cents a yard this wide sheeting is a bargain. Refrigerator Needed, « Dr. C. Arthur Lincoln reports that contributions amounting to $lO have been received by him for the small electric refrigerator heeded by the new District Health Office for the preservation of rserums used for inununizatin pur poses. The total cost of such a refrigerator is SBO cash. Any con tributions made through Dr. H. C. Whims, District Health Officer, Co lumbus or through Dr. Lincoln, Tryon, will be received with -gratitude. jPental Clinics *ln Polk Schools Dr. M. L. Hoffman of Asheville has moved to Columbus and will Le associated with the State Board of Health in conducting' dental clinics for ten weeks in all the schools of the county, examining students in the first four grades. 'This will be repeated in three years. The student examined in the first grade will be re-checked by the time he enters the fourth grade. Children needing dental work will be referred to their dentist. Those not able to pay anything will he given free treat ment. TRYON, N, C., WED., AUGUST 3, 1938 The Carolina Boy Scout Jubilee will be held at Chapel Hill on October >6, 7,8, 9, sponsored by the University of North Cai’olina and Region Six of Boy Stouts of America. Scout Executive R. M. Schiele will be the director of pub lic relations. National Scout and Government leaders will attend. 1,360 Scout? are expected . . . . The big electric lighted ferris wheel and other amusements near the Home Ice Plant are attracting a lot of people despite occasional showers. And the young folk re port having a lot of fun . . . .
