It goes where circulars News was received this morn ing of the death of Mrs. Mary M'urphy, mother of Mrs. Frank C. Cain of St. Matthews, S. C. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 o’clock at Marion, S. C. Mrs. Murphy had often visited the Cains when they lived Tryon. Mrs. Margaret Culkin Banning gave a lecture at Lex'ngton, Ky., the ohter day and came on to her Tryon home for a few days’ rest before returning to Duluth, Minn. Mr. and G. M. Lowden of* East Boothbay, Maine, have re turned home via Gastonia after a visit with relatives here. J. P. “Pat” McCoy, who rep resents George E. Dombhart & Co., certified nublic accountants of Charlotte has" just finished audit ing the books of the Tryon Bank & Trust Co., and the Tryon Feder al Savings & Loan Association.
